Fitback – monitoring system for physical fitness of children and adolecents
Physical fitness is associated with functional capacity, health and wellbeing in children and adolescents. Monitoring physical fitness provides valuable information about the situation and changes in children’s and adolescents’ physical fitness. There are currently seven national monitoring systems for physical fitness in Europe: Finland, Slovenia, Hungary, Portugal, Serbia, Lithuania, and France.
The aim of the FitBack project is to build an evidence-based monitoring system for physical fitness. Countries who currently do not have a monitoring system can use the FitBack web application to:
- Provide user-friendly individual feedback related to physical fitness
- Design a national monitoring system for physical fitness based on key guidelines
