Keep Youngsters Involved is a three-year-long project (2107-2019) and a part of EU’s Erasmus Sport+ programme. The aim of the project is to increase and share knowledge on how to keep youngsters involved in organised sports. This project contributes to the creation and strengthening of collaborative partnerships.
Keep Youngsters Involved is led by six partners, who are members of the HEPA working group youth. LIKES Research Centre for Sport and Health Sciences is the Finnish member in this project. The other members are Knowledge Centre for Sport Netherlands (KCSportNL), University of Leuven (Belgium), Limerick University (Ireland), National Institute for Sport Research (Romania), Royal Dutch Swimming Federation (KNZB), Instituto Português Do Desporto E Juventude (Portugal), and TAFISA (The Association For International Sport for All).
The main working methods of the project are communication, meetings and seminars of the experts, and the aim is to systematize knowledge and provide policy recommendations.
